As reported by multiple online Android aficionados, Motorola has announced the arrival of the Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system upgrade for the Motorola Droid Razr M 4G Android smartphone. A little over a week ago the update was sent to exclusive Droid Razr M handset owners, and now is available for all Verizon Wireless customers who own the Droid Razr M handset. Motorola even announced the over the air operating system update on their Twitter account on November 13, succinctly tweeting, “Android 4.1 for Droid Razr M by Motorola is available for manual download. Go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates.”

The Motorola Droid Razr M is available for a reduced price at select online retailers now starting at 49.99.

The Motorola Droid Razr M 4G smartphone delivers a large high-resolution 4.30 inch display in a smaller and lighter body than most mobile handsets with the same size screen. The handset also delivers extreme battery performance, and is offered in your choice of either black or white. Released on September 10, the Droid Razr M is exclusive to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the United States. Skinnier than most handsets at 0.33 inches (8.3 mm), the Droid Razr M is also light in your pocket or purse at only 4.44 ounces (116 g).

That large 4.30 inch display is extended from edge to edge to minimize the size of the handset, and that Super AMOLED Advanced screen delivers a pixel density of 256 pixels per inch. Overall screen resolution runs 540 x 960 pixels, with more than 16 million colors present. Typical multitouch, capacitive gestures are used to navigate the handset’s menus, and you can export the display to an exterior HDTV or monitor using DLNA wireless connectivity. That screen is protected against scratching by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass, and nanocoating, splash-proof protection exists for the interior components and exterior of the Droid Razr M.
