According to recent reports, Apple is getting ready to schedule an event for the 22nd of October to showcase the new iPad and iPad Mini tablets to the public.  Even though Apple has not confirmed the exact date, there are other indicators that are pointing to the date in which the public will get to see new devices, as well as the OS X Mavericks, iPad 5, iPad Mini 2 and the new Mac Pro.  According to one online source, the invites have not been sent out yet, but that consumers can count on the 22nd of this month as the date.

The date has been confirmed by more than one reliable source online, so now it is just a matter of time before Apple makes it official.  The new version of the OS X just recently got certified as Gold Master, the two new iPad models that have been getting plenty of attention lately and the brand new Mac Pro that was first announced at the WWDC event held this year are all expected to be on the stage.  The odds are pretty good that the majority of the attention is going to be focused on the fifth generation iPad and second generation iPad Mini 2.

Most of the important specs have already been figured out by the public as Apple is expected to release a lighter, thinner iPad 5 with a new iPad Mini looking design to replace the iPad 4 and the iPad Mini 2 that is said to be coming with the Retina display, which plenty of users have been waiting for.  Both of the devices are likely to bring processor upgrades to the table as well with the iPad 5 getting the A7 chipset with 64-bit support.

New camera hardware and software is also likely to appear with the new iPad models as well.  Although the pricing is not clear at this point, consumers can expect to be paying around $499 for the 16GB, Wi-Fi only model of the iPad 5, while the iPad Mini 2 could be priced around the $320 mark.  The new upgrade to the OS X software is likely to cost around $20, which is the price of previous upgrades to the software.  Other rumors suggest that new MacBook Pros are coming with extended battery life, similar to that found on the recently released MacBook Air.
