Over the last month or more, images and videos have been showing up online showing off the Nexus 5, which is set to arrive in the public eye any day now. The Nexus 5 was also reportedly going to arrive with the latest version of the Android software being version 4.4 KitKat, pre-installed and ready to use. In the latest images that were leaked online, users can clearly see some changes that were made to the user interface for the Nexus 5. The Nexus 5 will be made by LG this time around and will be very popular as soon as it is for sale.
The photos that leaked recently claim to show the Nexus 5 running the Android 4.4 KitKat software. Even though photos can be faked and these are not of the best quality, you can still make out exactly what point the user is trying to make by posting them online for all to see. Comparing the device in the images with the one that has been shown in earlier photos claiming to be the Nexus 5, it does appear to be the same device, including the front facing camera in the upper left corner.
The Nexus 5 that is reportedly shown in the images is running the Android 4.4 software build number KRS92B and kernel 3.4.0. Because this is not the final version of the software, it is noted that some aspects of it could change before it is released to the public. The images show some changes that will be noticed by everyone and they include the top and bottom of the display which shows the status bar and navigation bar are not completely solid. Both of them are semi-transparent and small icons inside the status bar have been changed to the color white from the blue.
The lock screen does not look like it was changed in anyway, but the camera icon has been moved to the lower right corner and will presumably get you into the camera app quickly from the lock screen. Just about any place there was a solid background looks to have been updated with a semi-transparent look. Beside the updates to the solid backgrounds, some of the icons have also changed going from square to round in shape.
