nexus5Google will be replacing the Nexus 4 with the brand new Nexus 5 eventually and according to rumors it is bound to happen sometime in October, specifically around the 14th.  When the new smartphone arrives, it is expected to have the latest Android 4.4 KitKat software pre-installed on it when you take it out of the box.  Even though neither of the devices have been officially announced, information about the two keep appearing in leaked documents online.  This time around it appears to be a log file that shows both the Nexus 5 and the Android 4.4 KitKat together.

Over the last few weeks the rumors have been getting hotter and more detailed in regards to the Nexus 5 and the new software which was announced about one month ago by Google.  The Nexus 5, which is going to be made by LG, has slowly been leaking out into the mobile world confirming that it will be arriving shortly.  Besides a few appearance in code and benchmark tests, Google also discontinued the Nexus 4 from the Google Play Store and that gives a little bit of confirmation that a newer device is on the way to replace it.

In the log file that was posted online by Myce.com, shows the Android 4.4 software being referenced as the Key Lime Pie and it is running on a device with the codename reading “Hammerhead”.  In the past, there were rumors that showed that the “Hammerhead” device was in fact the LG D820, or the Nexus 5.  According to the log files, not only is the new device running the latest version of the Android operating system, it appears that it is connected via the T-Mobile network.  Some test reveal the device comes with sensors like a Magnetometer, Gyroscope, Barometer and will support wireless charging.

The log files also show that the device has Google Babel installed, which is a new messaging service that Google is working on and could arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat.  Because none of these details have not been confirmed by Google, it would be smart to wait around for an official announcement before assuming the rumors are the real deal.  The Nexus 5 is supposed to arrive soon with a 5-inch, 1080p HD display, Snapdragon 800 processor, 13MP camera on the back and many design features similar to the Nexus 7 made by ASUS.
