Nokia is looking to regain the market share that it has lost over the few years with the introduction of mobile phones like Lumia 610, Lumia 900 and the Nokia 808 Pure View. The Nokia 900 has already created a lot of buzz in the smartphone world as it will be the first phone to feature the Windows Phone 8 OS when it comes out. The Nokia 808 Pureview is also gaining popularity after it was revealed that the camera phone will be equipped with an impressive 41 megapixel sensor. This takes photography on mobile phones to a whole different level as there are no rival smartphones that offer such high sensitivity cameras. The Nokia 808 Pure View boasts a 41 MP sensor with Carl-Zeiss lens with f/2.4 aperture and can shoot videos/pictures clearly in dark conditions with the help of the LED video light and a powerful Xenon flash.
Other hardware specs for the Pureview 808 include 512 MB of RAM, a 1.3 GHz processor and a crystal clear 4 inch OLED display. Customers who were hoping for a Windows Phone based device will be a bit disappointed as the 808 Pureview will run on Nokia’s Symbian Belle OS. The Finland based mobile manufacturer has revealed that the 41 megapixel camera in the 808 Pure View allows for lossless zooming and clicks photos with a shutter speed of less than a second. It is known that Nokia has taken the help of well-known camera specialist Damien Dinning for designing the camera in the 808 Pureview. The 808 also allows users to shoot videos at 1080p with 4x lossless zooming and amazing sound clarity due to the Nokia Rich Recording feature. It has been hinted that the 808 Pureview will cost around 450 euros in the European markets.
In other news, Nokia has finally unveiled a reasonably priced Windows Phone, Lumia 610 that has a lowered hardware configuration of 256 MB RAM and an 800 MHz processor. It should be noted that the Windows Phone OS works quite efficiently even on the low end configuration. The phone also has a decent 5 MP camera and comes with the Window Phone Tango update. The Nokia 610 is expected to cost around 255 US Dollars. Nokia has also released a press statement that the Lumia 900 will also be released outside the United States in the coming months. The Nokia Lumia 900 for international markets will have the same look as the AT&T version and will feature a 4.3 inch AMOLED display, powerful 1800 mAh battery, 8 megapixel camera and a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon processor. The device is expected to cost around $645.
