lumia920bOffered in color choices like white, black, cyan, red and blue, the Nokia Lumia 920 is using a recent retail price reduction to climb best-selling smartphone lists around the World Wide Web. The sales strength is no doubt attached to the bargain bin price tag recently given to the handset. The Nokia Lumia 920 4G was spotted this week at the Amazon Wireless store sporting a $19 on contract price tag, a purchase price generally reserved for feature phones and low-end handsets.

The Nokia Lumia 920 is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $19.99.

The Nokia Lumia 920 4G launched on the AT&T 4G LTE wireless network on November 9 of last year, and arrived in the US as the first Windows Phone 8 flagship from Nokia to deliver the combination of a dual core processor and high definition screen. Pixel density runs extremely high, at 332 pixels per inch, giving the large 4.50 inch display an overall resolution of 768 x 1,280 pixels. The 4.50 inch ClearBlack display technology used on the screen is called PureMotion HD+, meaning blur-free scrolling on the curved glass display.

Nokia has termed this particular screen their “fastest LCD display” ever placed on a smartphone, as it delivers a refresh rate that is up to 2.5 times faster than the typical handset. The Lumia 920 was also one of the first phones to offer super-sensitive touch technology, allowing you to manipulate the touchscreen even while wearing gloves. The new ClearBlack technology is also proven to give excellent visibility outside in direct sunlight. The IPS LCD display presents more than 16 million different colors, and is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2.

Nokia has managed to wrangle a full 17.0 hours of talk time from the 2,000 mA battery on board the handset, as well as 16.7 days of battery standby power. The Lumia 920 4G also offers wireless charging functionality, and the phone delivers NFC wireless access out-of-the-box. The Windows Phone 8 operating system powers the handset, and the Internet Explorer 10 mobile web browser has been pre-installed. Facebook, Picasa, Twitter and YouTube social networking applications are present and ready for use out-of-the-box.

The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 chip set with LTE radio, an Adreno 225 GPU and a dual core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon CPU. 1.0 GB of RAM memory joins 32 GB of internal storage space in the handset’s hardware package, and the Lumia 920 4G comes equipped with a rear facing 8.7 megapixel camcorder boasting Carl Zeiss optics. That rear facing snapper is capable of recording video in 1,080P HD resolution, and joins a front facing VGA quality chat cam in the camera combo.

You can purchase the Nokia Lumia 920 at a discounted price tag now starting at $19.99.
