However, the handset won multiple awards from respected industry analysts and experts, and it launched on the AT&T 4G network in the United States on November 9. That IPS LCD screen also delivers more than 16 million different colors, and accepts standard capacitive, multitouch gestures. Light and proximity sensors have been built-in, and the display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Talk time runs nearly double the 4G average of 17.0 hours after a single battery charge, and the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 chip set with LTE radio is built around a dual core 1.5 GHz central processor.
32 GB of internal storage are accentuated by 7 GB of SkyDrive cloud storage, and 1.0 GB of RAM memory is built-in. The rear mounted 8.7 megapixel camcorder provides video capture at 1,080P HD resolution, and sports an attractive ceramic zirconium camera detailing package. There is also a 1.3 megapixel chat cam up front which provides video call functionality, and popular social networking destinations Facebook, YouTube, Picasa and Twitter have been pre-installed. The Internet Explorer 10 web browser is also on board.
