The Nokia Lumia 928 hit the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network in the United States on May 16 of this year. The latest model of the Nokia Windows Phone 8 line, the Nokia Lumia 928 delivers PureView technology and what many analysts are calling the best camera of any smartphone running on Verizon. That imaging technology includes optical image stabilization (OIS) and guarantees “blur free” photos and video, even in low light situations.
The Nokia Lumia 928 4G Black is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $0.01.
A Carl Zeiss Tessar lens is also on board, as is a Xenon flash with better capability than a standard LED flash. The phone offers special microphones that “hear” more sound and provide distortion-free pickup, even in excessively noisy surroundings, up to 140 db. The large 4.5 inch OLED screen is stretched from edge to edge and is protected against all that you can throw at it with a layer of Gorilla Glass, and offers hyper-sensitive touch awareness. You can even use it while wearing gloves.
The Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon was recently spotted online for around $49 on contract. Wireless charging is also present, with Nokia including their HERE Suite of location services. This intuitive software always keeps you from getting lost, delivers entertainment and dining choices in your current area, and includes HERE Maps, HERE Drive+ and the HERE City Lens. The exclusive Nokia Music is also on board, delivering an unlimited amount of free streaming music play lists that you can even enjoy offline.
The Windows Phone operating system is not near as old as the Apple iOS or as pervasive as the Google Android OS, but there are already more than 145,000 applications available from the Windows Phone store. The Nokia Lumia 928 4G provides instant Internet access out-of-the-box with the mobile version of Internet Explorer 10 with Microsoft Office mobile integration. Slim at 0.40 inches (10.1 mm), the phone delivers a high-end pixel density at 332 pixels per inch, for an overall Full HD+ 768 by 1,280 pixel resolution.
A full 16.2 hours of conversation can be had on the handset after a single charge, thanks to the exceptional power provided by the 2,000 mA battery on board. Incredibly, the handset can keep a charge in standby mode for 25.2 days. A versatile Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 system chip powers the handset, and at its core is a dual core 1.5 GHz CPU. A generous 32 GB of storage is built-in, the 928 has 1.0 GB of RAM memory, and provides video capture at 1,080P HD resolution.
The Nokia Lumia 928 4G Black can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $0.01.
