Since entering the smartphone competition particularly the one happening in the windows Phone ecosystem, the Nokia Lumia 900 4G, the current flagship device of Finnish smarpthone manufacturer Nokia, has instantly shot up to the top of the leaderboards and claimed the first and third spots of an online retailer’s bestsellers list on its launch date. What made it even more interesting is that the handset was officially released to the market on a Sunday which also happens to fall on a National Holiday, a practice that is essentially unheard of in today’s smartphone world.

Despite the seeming popularity of the handset, the Nokia Lumia 900 4G is not without its share of bus and issues. In fact, early adopters of the handset who got their hands on the device prior to April 21 have complained about a connectivity bug that makes the Nokia Lumia 900 4G lose all data connectivity. With the barrage of complaints, Nokia immediately went to work on a software update that will get this rectified and also gave users of the handset the option to have their affected Nokia Lumia 900 4G handset with a new one with the updated software.
And to make the deal even sweeter, Nokia is throwing in a $100 credit to the AT&T bill of those who purchased their handset before April 21. Most of the folks affected by the issue have already gotten their $100 credit but there are still some who are still waiting for the credit to be applied. The reason for this is said to be that Nokia only issued the credit to those who got their hands on the Nokia Lumia 900 4G through an AT&T upgrade and this did not apply to those who purchased the device outright. This is because Nokia had no way of knowing that you bought a Nokia Lumia 900 4G and had it activated on your account if the handset was bought at its full price.
A source however confirmed that he was still able to get the $100 credit applied to his account despite purchasing the handset outright for $450. He said he got in touch with AT&T and was able to get the $100 credit after speaking with a customer service rep of the wireless provider via web chat.
As for the Nokia Lumia 900 4G, the handset comes with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango for its operating system and this draws power from the handset’s QualComm APQ8055 SnapDragon chipset. The snappy and buttery-smooth performance of the handset on the other hand is brought about by its 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor and 512 MB of RAM. The internal storage of the handset is pegged at 16GB while its display measures 4.3 inches and is of the AMOLED type with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Not only that, the display of the device is powered by the company’s proprietary ClearBlack Display technology. As for its shooters, the Nokia Lumia 900 4G has an 8MP camera at its back panel while its front bezel is home to its 1.3MP video chat camera. Buy the Nokia Lumia 900 starting at $49
