nvideaThe tablet space is one that did not take that long to get crowded and if you are thinking about getting one that measures 7-inches in size you will have plenty of options from entry level all the way up to the iPad Mini from Apple.  Even though the Apple iPad Mini measure a little larger than 7-inches, it competes mainly with other Android powered devices that are in the 7-inch category.  As if you did not have enough options to choose from, it looks like Nvidia is about to give you another one.

According to the latest news to hit the web, it looks like Nvidia is going to enter the 7-inch tablet market and release the Nvidia Tegra Tab, which is one of two Android powered tablets that are reportedly coming to the market from the chip maker.  For the most part, you would have heard the most about Nvidia because of the super fast, quad-core processors that are situated inside other tablets and smartphones already on the market, but it looks like the company is ready to get into selling the end product as well.  One of the two tablets could come with the new Nvidia Tegra 5 chipset as early as next year.

The first tablet that is expected to arrive from the company is the Nvidia Tegra Tab, which has recently been caught on camera again.  The images showed up from the Taiwan National Communications Commission, which certified the tablet last week, and are associated with the model number reading P1640.  Rumors about the specs for the new tablet include a 7-inch display that sports a 1280×768 resolution, Tegra 4 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and a 5MP camera on the back side of the device.

Besides those specs the tablet is also reportedly going to feature Android 4.2.2 right out of the box and a stylus accessory much like the ones that you see with the Galaxy Note series of phablet devices.  Even though the specs are getting leaked a little more, the most important information is still a mystery.  The pricing for the new tablet, as well as the date that you might be able to pick one up have not been announced at this time, but could be something the company might announce at the IFA event this week.
