The Samsung Galaxy S5 is now on the market and for the most part it will be taking it over until the iPhone 6 shows up from Apple later on this year. Apple is also reportedly working on another smartphone that is expected to be a 5-inch model to help take on the Galaxy Note 4 from Samsung. In the meantime, there is another company in China that is about to release a smartphone that some are calling the “Galaxy S5 killer” and it will be coming to the market here in a few months.
According to the reports posted online, the OnePlus is expected to be released in China soon and it will be bringing some very impressive specs. The new smartphone company that is based in China, has been getting plenty of attention recently and with good reason. The first devices has been dubbed the “flagship killer” and it is called the OnePlus One from a company called OnePlus. After about one month of leaked information and other rumors, the company finally announced the smartphone officially to the public. Just looking at what the company has to offer, it could be bringing one of the best smartphones to the market for as little as $299.
Being a brand new company in 2014 is going to be quite a challenge for them, but if the smartphone packs the punch that it looks like it will, the fight could be easier. Companies like LG and Motorola have been around a long time and still cannot get an edge on companies like Apple or Samsung. OnePlus knows this and is prepared to bring a smartphone to the market that can be more likeable and attractive to buyers.
The phone matches the Galaxy S5 very closely and that includes the 5.5-inch 1920x1080p HD touch screen display, which is a little larger than the Galaxy S5. OnePlus put the Snapdragon 801, quad-core processor inside the phone and that is paired up with 3GB of RAM. A 13MP camera sensor on the back side is included along with support to record 4k resolution. The 3100mAh battery should provide you at least all day usage. According to the reports, the OnePlus One is going to be offered for just $299 compared to the Galaxy S5 that is expected to arrive with an unlocked price of $649.
