In the Android ecosystem, ASUS is said to be one manufacturer that is very timely in releasing updates for the tablets in its stable. In fact, a couple of days after Google unveiled Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as its latest iteration of the Android operating system, ASUS was already on the scene and confirmed that the original Transformer, Transformer Prime and Transformer Pad Infinity will all get updated to Jelly Bean in the coming months.
Speaking of the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity, ASUS latest flagship tablet just hit the shelves two weeks ago and the manufacturer is already showing it some update love. As it stands, a new software version for the tablet has already hit the airwaves and is being sent out to the models of the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity released not only in US shores but internationally as well.
The said update which will crank up the software version of the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity to version 9.4.5.26 is being rolled out via the usual OTA manner so a notification will come up on your device to let you know of the update’s availability. Should you lack the patience in waiting for the notification to show itself, you can also check manually for the update by heading over to Settings > About tablet > Software update and just mash that button to your heart’s content.
Once the 9.4.5.26 update has been applied to your ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity, it will bring goodies and treats to your tablet such as compatibility fixes to the issues seen with certain SD cards. In addition to that, the update is also expected to improve the stability of the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity and enhance its performance. Those lucky enough to have gotten the update this early attest to the fact that the tablet is now more touch-responsive after applying the update to the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity.
If you happen to rock a ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity and haven’t seen the notification yet or if manually checking for the update doesn’t turn up anything as of yet, please exercise more patience. As it is, ASUS is rolling out the update in a staggered manner and your tablet is bound to receive the update in a couple of days, don’t you worry. Rest assured, the update won’t take “infinity” to reach your ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity.
As for the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity, the tablet is already running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its operating system and this is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 T33 chipset which gives the slate a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and a full gigabyte of RAM.
