As of the moment, the Samsung Galaxy S III is still one of the more popular handsets in the smartphone market today. In fact, the popularity of the handset is just way off the charts with the smartphone’s sales figures already at the 30 million mark since the Samsung Galaxy S III hit the shelves during the latter parts of May. This popularity of the handset is in part due to the fact that the handset comes with an impressive resume and brings even more impressive capabilities to the table.

The Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon is available at a special holiday price now starting at $59.99.

Since it hit the shelves, we’ve heard nothing but good things about the Samsung Galaxy S III, the current flagship device of the Korean electronics giant. However, there is no such thing as a perfect smartphone – the Samsung Galaxy S III included. There will always be issues associated with a particular handset and a smartphone can be made even more capable that it already is through software updates. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy S III, the handset may be the top-tier handset of Samsung but it does not have several features which can be found in the Samsung Galaxy Note II.

However, there will come a time when all the functionalities found in the second generation Samsung phablet will also become available on the Samsung Galaxy S III. In fact, the porting of these features to the Samsung flagship device is already being worked on and Samsung has recently released a video that gives us an idea as to what these functionalities are.

On the video, Samsung boasted of its Premium Suite for the Samsung Galaxy S III where it showed which functionalities in the Samsung Galaxy Note II are headed for the Galaxy S III. The features are grouped into two being Contextual Awareness and Enhanced Features. With Contextual Awareness, features such as Page Buddy, Contextual Menu and Contextual Tag will be added on to the already feature-rich handset. Enhanced Features on the other hand include Multi-Window, Auto Share Shot Pairing using NFC, Reader Mode and Facebook Lock Ticker.

Looking at all the goodies and treats that the Premium Suite brings to the handset, it is without a doubt a pretty awesome pack to expect but sad to say, there has been no confirmation as to when we can expect this to land on the Samsung Galaxy S III.

As for the Samsung Galaxy S III, the handset is already running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (in some territories, that is) and the operation of the handset is powered by its QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset. This SoC comes with a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and a staggering 2GB of RAM to ensure that the performance of the handset is always flawless and lag-free. The handset is available in storage spaces ranging from 16GB to as much as 64GB while its microSD card slot enables memory expansion on the handset. Display-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S III comes with a 4.8-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its dual-shooter configuration includes a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.9MP snapper.

You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy S III for Verizon at a special holiday discount now starting at $59.99.
