Some accessories for iPhones are something that make you say, “How come I did not think of that?”. The Red Pop is a new camera button for your iPhone. Since it has achieved its funding point it will be on the markets soon.
The iPhone already has a camera, but not a big grip and a large red shutter button. That is what Red Pop is about. This is an extra accessory that you place around the outside of the iPhone to transform it into a tool for photographers. It makes it much easier to find the camera button, since it is unmistakable. It is the huge red round object on the top of the “Red Pop”, hence the name for this new gadget.
Beep Industries is the impetus behind this transforming piece of equipment. They make other Apple products like the “MoviePeg” for the iPad. This Red Pop camera accessory for the iPhone is something that adds a finger grip and that aforementioned big red button. It slides onto the iPhone like wrapper over a piece of gum. The handle section has pins that plug into the connector in the bottom of the iPhone 4 and the next new model of iPhone. Once the Red Pop is in place, the associated app is needed to make the Pop work. As you may have guessed already, it is called the Red Pop App and is a free download from the Apple iTunes Store.
The reasoning behind this new accessory is that people are tired of fumbling for the original iPhone photo button. Besides that, pushing on the screen of the iPhone after getting your subject in view can move the field of view, ruining the photo. Placing the button in the traditional spot, on the top right hand corner, is conducive to taking better photos and negates the need to go hunting on the screen of the iPhone for the “shutter button”. The Beep Industry group, have stated that this iPhone accessory will be made for future versions of the iPhone. They are based out of Manchester, United Kingdom. One of the first models of this Red Pop button will cost $75 dollars for those who want one. Regular price is not yet revealed. It will come in a “beautiful glossy box” and come with a carrying strap.
