Nokia CEO Thorsten Heins has frequently indicated they are moving towards a fresh lineup of Nokia phones in 2013, and recent rumors about two new Lumia phones seem to point in that direction. Blog site PhoneArena.com revealed an Indonesia regulatory document that has two new Nokia Lumia phones listed.

This document, which is a U.S. FCC equivalent, has records for Nokia 720/RM-885 and Nokia 520/RM914 as of February 6. The document also said that both phones won the Directorate Post & Telecommunication Indonesia certification necessary before a product can hit retail.

The document itself did not elaborate on the phones’ features, but it was enough fuel to get the rumor mills working. MyNokiaBlog.com – a fan site that is not authorized by the company itself – reported expected specifications from an unidentified source. It claimed that the Nokia 520 will be a 4-inch touchscreen phone, with Nokia’s signature Super Sensitive screen. It would incorporate 512MB RAM, 1GHz processor, a micro-SD slot and 8GB internal storage. There are reports of a 5-megapixel back camera and no front camera, as well as Windows Phone 8 operating system.

The Nokia 720, which is expected to be priced higher, will also run on Windows Phone 8. Equipped with Nokia’s ClearBlack display, this 4.3-inch screen phone is not that different from the 520. It will come with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, micro-SD slot and 8GB storage. The key difference is the 6-megapixel camera at the back and 2-megapixel camera in the front.

However, the source has provided no evidence to support these guesses, and they are purely rumors as of now. More clarity is likely to ensue at the Mobile World Conference at the end of this month, as Nokia has said it will reveal the new Lumia lines at the Barcelona event.

The company, which is rearing to make a comeback world over, has declined to make a statement about these findings. It is reportedly against Nokia policy to comment on rumors or speculation. However, Nokia fans are hopeful and the company’s previous statements are pointing in the same direction. Logic says that the 520 will succeed Nokia’s current Lumia 510, and the 720 will succeed the Lumia 710.

If the speculated features are to be believed, both phones are significantly better than their predecessors. The Lumia line is crucial to the company’s overall performance, and if Nokia can keep the price around the same level as its predecessors, a Windows Phone 8 device in that price range may turn out to be very attractive for customers.
