Industry analysts and smartphone manufacturers are quick to tout the incredible features that current mobile handsets offer. But critical praise and marketing hype do not dictate which smartphones rise to the top of the crowded and competitive mobile marketplace. Satisfying consumers is the number one goal of any device manufacturer, and according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI), no smartphone does that better than the Samsung Galaxy Note II big-screen smartphone/tablet.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $99.99.
Based on a 100 point scoring system that tested important factors like battery performance, the experience during phone calls and texting, and several technical performance indicators, the ACSI study showed the Galaxy Note II tied the Samsung Galaxy S III with the highest possible customer satisfaction score of 84/100. The Galaxy S4 was not included in the testing as it had not been released yet, and the popular Apple iPhone 5 tied the Apple iPhone 4S with a rating of 82. Samsung is well known as an innovator in the mobile industry, whereas Apple has been accused by even some of their devotees as continually offering very few new technologies and features.
This is a big victory for Samsung, who earlier this year finally passed Apple as the worldwide leader in global smartphone shipments. The fact that the Apple iPhone 4S tied the new Apple iPhone 5 in customer satisfaction supports the theory that the California-based smartphone manufacturer does not work hard enough at delivering new technology with each subsequent iPhone release. This victory by the Galaxy Note II over the entire smartphone marketplace should also taste sweeter for Samsung because industry analysts predicted the huge tablet/smartphone would be a flop because it was simply “too big”.
But consumers have continued to support the large 5.55 inch multitouch, capacitive touchscreen integrated with the smart stylus Samsung is calling the S Pen. This allows you to draw, doodle and write in your own handwriting, and even add notes to video and snapshots. The Galaxy Note II also delivers a unique split screen feature which divides that large 5.55 inch screen into two smaller windows. The powerful quad core processor then allows you to simultaneously carry on two entirely different operations on those two miniature displays.
In advance of the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 release (no hard launch date has been set as of yet, but quarter 3 or quarter 4 this year both seem a possibility), the Galaxy Note II running on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the United States has seen a retail price reduction down to just $99 on contract. Aside from one of the largest displays ever created for a mobile handset, the Galaxy Note II delivers a True HD resolution of 720 by 1,280 pixels, a generous 2.0 GB of RAM memory, a quad core central processor clocked at 1.6 GHz and 15.0 hours of talk time from a single battery charge.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $99.99.
