As of the moment, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is one of the more popular handsets in the smartphone market today together with the Samsung Galaxy S III, the current flagship device of the Korean smartphone and tablet manufacturer. Together, these two high-end devices combine to make a very potent one-two punch combination for Samsung in its bid to dominate the smartphone competition. as for the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the handset is still distinctly recognizable because of its massive size brought about by its equally massive 5.5-inch screen real estate.
However, if there is something bad to be said about the second generation Samsung phablet, it would have to be the lack of options in terms of the colorways the Samsung Galaxy Note II is available in. after all, when the phablet initially hit the shelves back in September, it was only available in two color options – white and gray. This is also the case with the Samsung Galaxy S III which hit the shelves back in the latter parts of May available only in a Marble White and Pebble Blue paint job. Since then, the Korean electronics giant has already released the handset in several more color options – which is what prospective buyers of the Samsung Galaxy Note II are also hoping for – more paint jobs for the second generation Samsung phablet.
A couple of days back, those looking to make the Samsung Galaxy Note II their next mobile weapon of choice were greeted with the news that Samsung is already making plans of releasing the phablet in a black paint job. The news was even accompanied with a high resolution press render showing of the Samsung Galaxy Note II in the said black colorway. In addition to that, the said variant of the phalet will allegedly be unveiled at either CES come January or at Mobile World Congress in February.
Sad to say, it looks like those expecting the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II 4G to get released in a black paint job will be disappointed. As it stands, the said “high-res” press render of the phablet in its black colorway was only a mock-up of the handset made by a Samsung fan. What’s worse, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note II will no longer be released in a black colorway. Simply put, the rumors stayed as they are – pure, unadulterated rumors.
This doesn’t however change the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Note II is one of the more powerful handsets in the market today. Under the hood, the phablet’s circuitry revolves around its Exynos 4412 Quad chipset which comes with a quad-core 1.6 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and a staggering 2GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Note II can be had in a 16Gb or a 32GB model in terms of storage space but a user interested in expanding the handset’s memory can make use of its dedicated microSD card slot to do just that. The display of the Samsung Galaxy Note II remains its stand-out feature with its 5.5-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its dual-shooter configuration includes a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.9MP snapper.
