Whenever Google releases the latest iteration of its Android mobile operating system – in this case, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it is almost always the case that the high-end devices in every manufacturer’s lineup will get first dibs on the said platform update. Take a look at HTC for example. The Taiwanese smartphone and tablet manufacturer has already gone ahead to confirm that its HTC One X superphone will be one of its first devices to get the Android 4.1 refresh for that matter although the manufacturer neglected to mention as to when this will become available.

As for Korean electronics giant Samsung, the company is already making headway in getting its current flagship device, the Samsung Galaxy S III, upgraded to Jelly Bean. In fact, several Jelly Bean builds for the device has leaked in the past couple of devices and there were even rumors in the past that the handset will get the official update last August 29 – which sad to say did not happen. Though that may be the case, we are pretty sure that Jelly Bean is already forthcoming for the Samsung Galaxy S III because the leaked builds are getting more and more stable now.
However, it looks like the focus of Samsung is not just getting the Samsung Galaxy S III 4G LTE cranked up to Android 4.1 because a Jelly Bean test firmware for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has already surfaced. Although Samsung has already confirmed that the tablet will get a taste of Jelly Bean in the future, this is the first time that a leaked Jelly Bean build for the tablet has surfaced. As usual, this build is a still a pre-release leak so plenty of bugs are still present on the firmware and it isn’t advisable to be used as a daily driver just yet. Also, the leaked build is for the 3G version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 only should you be interested in getting this flashed on your device.
The leaked Jelly Bean build for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 weighs in at approximately 297.7 MB and has a JRO03c software version while its build is N8800DDALI1. Should you be brave enough to flash this onto your tablet, make sure that your device is on the stock N8800DDALH1 build before getting the flashing process started.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, it has its circuitry built around its Exynos 4412 chipset which gives it ample computing power via its quad-core 1.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor and 2GB of RAM. It is available from 16GB to as much as 64GB in terms of storage capacity with the option to have this beefed up using its microSD card slot. Its PLS TFT display measures 10.1-inches (obviously!) diagonally and has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Its dual-shooter configuration on the other hand gives the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 a rear 5MP shooter and a front 1.9MP video call camera.
