The Galaxy Note 3 smartphone has been a bestseller for Verizon, and running on that 4G LTE network in the United States, the big-screen tablet/smartphone recently received an early holiday present. The World Wide Web is predicted to generate a full $1.5 billion of retail sales on Cyber Monday, December 2, and the largest Internet retailer, Amazon, is sure to take home a big slice of that financial pie. And though Black Friday will once again be a multibillion dollar shopping day, you don’t have to wait until then or stand in line to get a Black Friday or Cyber Monday-like deal on the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone.
You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note III at a reduced price tag stating at $169.
Select online retailers have already reduced the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 to the holiday shopping price of $169 on contract. The handset can be purchased through the Amazon Wireless store online, and is the third generation of the large-screened Galaxy Note that debuted the smart stylus S Pen. Samsung teamed up with Google to announce recently that all the Galaxy Note 3 smartphones would be receiving an operating system upgrade to the Android 4.4 KitKat OS version in the coming weeks.
Out-of-the-box the system offers Android’s 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system, a large Full HD touchscreen display, extremely high pixel density and the most RAM memory found on a mobile handset. 3.0 GB of RAM joins a generous 32 GB of built-in data storage, a microSD slot, an Adreno 320 graphics processor and a quad core Snapdragon 800 CPU in the handset’s hardware package. That central processor has been clocked at a blazing 2.3 GHz.
And even though the display has grown to 5.7 inches, the phone is actually slightly smaller in overall size than the previous Galaxy Note model. Overall the phone measures 5.95 x 3.12 x 0.33 inches (151.2 x 79.2 x 8.3 mm) in size, smaller than the Galaxy Note II, which offers a smaller display as well. Samsung has also beefed up the Galaxy Note camera, giving the Galaxy Note 3 a 13.0 megapixel snapper with an improved flash.
The 5.70 inch display delivers a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels, with a pixel density of 386 ppi. Battery performance is excellent, as the 25.0 hours of talk time achieved from a full battery charge is more than double the industry average. Samsung has included a front facing 2.0 megapixel chat cam for video calls, and the rear mounted 13.0 megapixel shooter offers continuous autofocus while video recording, capable of 4K video capture. Digital image stabilization, a self timer, exposure compensation and both face and smile detection are just some of the features the main camera offers. You can purchase the Galaxy Note 3 at a discounted purchase price starting at $169.
