SamMobile often times releases information regarding Samsung that is found nowhere else. While they are not officially affiliated with the smartphone manufacturer, they are dedicated to all things Samsung. In the past they have effectively outed and leaked information regarding operating systems which has been spot on. While that is no proof that anything they say in the future is guaranteed, they recently tweeted that, “Samsung delayed 4.2.2 for Note II and S III. Reason new TW for S III and Note II.” TW is most probably in reference to the TouchWiz user interface Android overlay that Samsung includes with both of those handsets.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $79.99.
As is always the case, Samsung has not confirmed nor denied this unofficial announcement, and as soon as we receive official word on the exact launch of Jelly Bean 4.2.2 for the Galaxy Note II, we will alert you right here. The big-screen Android phone has been exceptionally popular, moving more than 10 million units in its early existence. The Galaxy Note II 4G phone arrived in November of 2012, and delivers a handy split screen feature which allows for enhanced productivity and extreme multitasking.
The Multi-Window feature divides your screen into two smaller displays, upon which you can run two entirely different operations. You can also drag and drop data and other information from one of the mini displays to the other, giving you a virtually endless list of possibilities. Watch a movie while you are checking your e-mail, download an application or game in one of the windows while you are texting in the other, or surf the web while watching YouTube videos.
The handset provides several ways to interact with it, letting you speak, write, draw and hover. As the first smartphone from Samsung to deliver the Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating system out-of-the-box, the Galaxy Note II has been a big hit with business professionals because of its large screen, multitasking Multi-Window feature, and its Samsung Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) designation. With one of the largest displays found on any mobile handset, the Galaxy Note II also delivers a 5.55 inch Super AMOLED screen with True HD 720 x 1,280 pixel resolution.
The big-screen tablet/smartphone supports Mobile Device Management (MDM), on-device encryption (ODE), Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and corporate email/calendar/contacts, putting a smile on your company’s IT manager’s face. The Galaxy Note II delivers a larger and longer smart stylus S Pen than the one that debuted with the original Galaxy Note, so you get a more realistic and pen-like experience, as well as contextual awareness display features. Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Picasa are all on board, and the handset is powered by a powerful quad core central processor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $79.99.
