Among the Android-powered devices currently available in the market, the handset that probably catches the most attention could probably be the Samsung Galaxy Note. When you come to think of it, the massive size of the phablet, and as a consequence its humongous display, has always been the center of attention when talking about the device. In fact, the Samsung Galaxy Note is a niche device that is manufacturer for a certain portion of the population but that fact did not stop the phablet from hitting the 7 million mark in terms of sales performance as announced by Samsung a couple of weeks back.

Back when it was unveiled, Samsung announced that there is a chance that the massive phablet will not land in US shores. It is a good thing that AT&T was able to have it added to it lineup thereby giving our smartphone-crazed brethren to get their hands on the handset. Since then, no other carrier offered the phablet with AT&T having a sort of an exclusive on the device.

Not too long ago though, there were rumors that the phablet could possibly end up in the shelves of T-Mobile. In fact, some fellows from the developer communities managed to get an AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy Note running on the T-Mobile network by altering some of its radio firmware. In addition to that, there also a couple of images of what could be the T-Mobile version of the phablet that got leaked in the past. Most recently, a device with model number Samsung SGH-T879 dropped by at the FCC for certification and pundits claim that this is the phablet in all its Magenta glory.

All of these things point to a possible T-Mobile release for the Samsung Galaxy Note. However, another little detail came up that sort of confirms that the phablet will indeed end up with Magenta. This time around, it comes in a form of a photo of a T-Mobile inventory sheet that includes a “SAM T879 GALAXY NOTE NAVY BLUE DEMO”. At this point in time, we think it is pretty safe to assume that we can expect the Samsung Galaxy Note to get released by T-Mobile. Rumors have it that the phablet will hit the shelves of the carrier on July 11 but this hasn’t been made official as of yet.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Note, the phablet has a QualComm MSM8660 SnapDragon chipset under the hood to power its operation. The snappy performance of the handset on the other hand is brought about by its dual-core 1.5 GHz Scorpion processor and 1GB of RAM while its storage space is pegged at 16GB which can be expanded by using the microSD card slot of the handset. The standout feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note is its massive 5.3-inch SuperAMOLED display with its 1280 x 800 resolution while its camera department is composed of a rear-facing 8MP shooter and a front-facing 2MP webcam.

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note can be purchased starting at $199 at select retailers.
