Smartphone manufacturer Apple is currently in litigation concerning their accusation that Samsung copied many trademarked and copyrighted features of the popular iPhone. After last month’s report on sales of the Galaxy S III, it is easy to see why Apple is concerned about Samsung’s smartphones. Samsung’s Chief Executive Officer Shin Jong-kyun had predicted in June that the Galaxy S III would hit 10 million units sold globally by the end of July. The GS III actually crossed the 10 million units sold mark with one week to spare in July, translating to approximately 190,000 Galaxy S III handsets sold every day.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is on sale now starting at 99.99.

And in a strange turn of events, Apple’s continuing litigation against the Galaxy S II has actually caused a rush in the United States to purchase the brand-new Samsung Galaxy S III, as opposed to the iPhone. Trip Chowdhry is the managing director at Global Equities Research, and he said Apple sales have plummeted as Galaxy S III sales have skyrocketed. Global Equities actually investigated multiple retail store chains like Costco, as well as wireless retail stores for AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, and across multiple outlets customers raved about the Galaxy S III being the “best Android smartphone ever made” and the newest version of the Apple iPhone as being rather mediocre.

Google and Samsung recently announced that the Samsung Galaxy S III 4G LTE  Android smartphone would receive the new Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system in an over the air transfer, only stating that would take place by the end of September. No roll-out schedule was announced, and out-of-the-box the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 operating system is provided. The Galaxy S III provides one of the largest high resolution screens in the entire smartphone marketplace, at 4.80 inches. Protected by a second generation layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2, that screen is rendered in a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels, at a high-end 316 pixels per inch.

Running operations on the handset is a 1.5 GHz core central processor, and a separate Adreno 225 GPU handles all graphics processing. 16 GB of RAM system memory is built into the handset, and a microSD slot is provided for storage expansion and offboard data access. The Samsung Galaxy S III 4G Android smartphone is one of the first handsets ever to deliver a full 2.0 GB of RAM system memory, and video capture is provided at 1,080P HD resolution. The rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder provides that high resolution video recording, and simultaneous HD image and video capture is offered as well. The handset also delivers Near Field Communications (NFC) wireless connectivity out-of-the-box.

Buy the Samsung Galaxy S III now starting at 99.99.
