The Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone will support the Galaxy Gear watch next month, with the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II devices supporting the watch by the end of this year.

The Samsung Galaxy S III running on the AT&T network, for example, was recently spotted at the Amazon Wireless store online in the 16 GB version boasting a one penny on contract price tag. The Galaxy S III delivers a large 4.80 inch True HD display in a slim and light form factor, measuring just 0.34 inches (8.6 mm) in thickness, and weighing just 4.70 ounces (133 g).
The Galaxy Gear smartwatch will have a 1.63 inch Super AMOLED face, and a screen resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The intelligent watch will also come equipped with a full 512 MB of RAM system memory, 4 GB of internal storage, and a 1.9 megapixel camera. A price tag has not been confirmed as of this date, nor has an official delivery date of the Galaxy Gear smartwatch itself. The Galaxy S III is available in blue, white, black or brown in the 16 GB model, and a 32 GB version is also available.
The display on the Galaxy S III is protected by a second generation layer of Corning Gorilla Glass, and offers up to 15.0 hours of talk time after a full battery charge. The Galaxy S III was one of the first smartphones to deliver the ability to simultaneously record high definition images and video, and does so with its rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder. That rear snapper records in 1,080P HD resolution, and the phone is powered by a Snapdragon S4 plus dual core CPU. A full 2.0 GB of RAM memory is on board, as is a storage expanding microSD slot, a front facing chat cam and NFC support.
