gs4niceThe Samsung Galaxy S4 is one of the best-selling smartphones of all time. It is already the hottest selling and quickest selling Android phone ever created, having already flown past the 20 million global sales mark recently. And three of the big for wireless carriers in the United States are issuing a rather sizable update to the popular Android smartphone. Sprint, AT&T and Verizon wireless are simultaneously pushing out a 357 MB file that will improve your ability to store applications, games and other downloads on the Galaxy S4.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 Black Mist is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $119.99.

There has been no formal announcement by any of those wireless carriers about this upgrade, which is sort of strange because the functionality it provides is very important. The new feature is usually referred to as “apps to SD” and is appropriately named, as that is exactly what allows the Galaxy S4 to do. This frees up the internal storage on the Galaxy S4, which can potentially upgrade the overall performance, and allows you to download applications and games straight to your external microSD card.

The Galaxy S4 was the first mobile device from Samsung to deliver a security software suite named Knox, and it also receives updates in this software upgrade. A new lock boot loader has also been delivered, changes have been made to status bar transparency options and legibility settings, and other basic software enhancements and bug fixes are present. It is on for three of the big for carriers in the United States to push out the same software enhancement simultaneously, and there is no word at this time regarding a possible T-Mobile Galaxy S4 software update.

Following successfully in the popular footsteps of the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone, the Galaxy S4 has been a flagship device for the above-mentioned carriers. Arriving with the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Android operating system out-of-the-box, the S4 provides a slim profile in just 0.31 inches (7.9 mm) in thickness. The phone weighs 4.59 ounces (130 g), light for a 4G smartphone with a large 5.0 inch display. That Super AMOLED screen delivers a full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, delivered at an extremely high pixel density of 441 ppi.

Full charge talk time of 17.0 hours, the phone is powered by a 1.9 GHz quad core central processor, and 2.0 GB of RAM system memory is on board. The Galaxy S4 is delivered in 16 and 32 GB models, offering a 13.0 megapixel camcorder and front facing 2.0 megapixel chat cam with dual camera function. That rear snapper can simultaneously record high definition video and images, capturing video in 1080 P HD resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 Black Mist can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $119.99.
