For the most part, Apple has taken the mobile headlines for a ride over the last couple of months with a few stories peppered in about the customizable Moto X. Samsung is very good at keeping quiet about new devices and since the Galaxy S4 did so well last year, the company has reportedly been working on the fifth generation Galaxy smartphone to be released within the next couple months. According to an online source, the Galaxy S5 has shown up on the market ahead of the launch, but not in the ways that you might expect.
The Galaxy S5 showed up online via a model number and, rather than leaked images or even retailer documents. The Galaxy S5 was tracked down to a certification process in Indonesia. Samsung’s “Next Big Thing” has been rumored for months now and market speculation has come forward with the launch date, release date and specs for camera, display and software that consumers have been hoping to see. Even though some can assume what will be arriving with the new smartphone, there are still plenty of mysteries surrounding the new smartphone. There is little more information about the Galaxy S5, but that should change very soon.
The leaked model number that has been on the market is SM-G900 for selective regions, but the model number has not been confirmed by Samsung by this point. Even though the model number has not been confirmed, it is likely to come with the Galaxy S5. The model number and variations of it have appeared before and that includes the SM-G900A that is expected to show up on the AT&T network. The SM-G900S and SM-G900F are also expected to arrive this year, with the “F” model being assigned to the “premium model” consumers have been hearing about.
This week, the Galaxy S5 has shown up again and this time it was reported by an online source for Indonesian certification for the SM-G900H. This model is expected to show up in Asian countries. The SM-G900 model number could be the one that Samsung is using for the global model. The Galaxy S5 is easily going to replace the Galaxy S4 from last year. The Galaxy S5 is expected to arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat software, fingerprint scanner, 16MP camera and the latest TouchWiz, with at least one model coming with the high resolution qHD display.
