Over the last week or more, information has been spreading around the mobile world that Samsung is looking to release a bunch of tablet in 2014. There are plenty of rumors as to what we are going to see and what the specs will be once the devices are showcased, but for now, only one device has barely been mentioned. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro series of tablets are what all the talk is about and it looks like consumers could see two or three of them in different sizes.
The sizes of the tablets are not your typical 7-inch, 8-inch or 10-inch either. According to reports, it looks like Samsung could be releasing an 8.4-inch, 8.9-inch and 12.2-inch model all in the next 12 months. This week, some information has come around as a tablet from Samsung has passed through the FCC and some reports are suggesting that it will be the 8.9-inch, or the smaller 8.4-inch Galaxy Tab Pro. The Galayx Tab Pro comes with a codename of SM-T320 if you are going to be tracking the progress throughout the news over the next few months. With the Consumer Electronics Show coming up next month, it will be the perfect place to showcase new products that Samsung wants to release.
Samsung is usually very quiet about what products they will be releasing and for the most part of a good hold on what he suppliers tell the media in order to keep things under wraps as long as possible. The FCC, however, is at least one place that you can get some information about new devices, whether the company wants to release it or not. The FCC will only clear the radios that are on the device and does not confirm any other specs.
The tablets in the Galaxy Tab Pro series are likely to be high end devices. With that being said, some of the specs can be assumed at this point based on other devices that they would be competing with. A full 1080p HD display is a must in order to compete in the larger tablet market, as well as a quad-core processor to keep thing moving quickly. Cameras on the front or back can go either way, but is nice to have even on a tablet. Other than the new high end devices, budget friendly options are also in the works.
