Samsung has announced the release of five more smartphones and one of them is looking to be more of a “superphone”. The Samsung GT-I9250 has some pretty sweet specs to speak of, comes running the Android “Ice Cream Sandwich” operating system and screen resolution of 1280×720. That is a 720p resolution and in terms of a smartphone, that is pretty impressive. On the other hand, what’s even more impressive is the huge 4.65-inch screen that is handling that resolution. For the most part, recently a typical smartphone screen was closer to 4.3-inches. The new Samsung GT-I9250 superphone brought that to a whole new level.
That screen is not the largest of the five new smartphones, but it is the only one that people are calling a superphone. Other specs for the phone include a nice 5MP camera, but for now, there was no word on what the processor would be, but you can count on that it would be a dual-core at minimum. Superphones, or at least the term, have been used most recently to describe a smartphone that has more power than needed and can do just about anything, a smartphone on steroids if you will.
Another smartphone released was the GT-I9220 and that is coming to market with an even larger AMOLED display at 5.29-inches with the same resolution. The phone is listed with a dual-core 1.4 Ghz processor, running the Android Gingerbread update and comes with a sweet 8MP camera. This phone has got some specs worth checking out that is for sure and even though it is not listed as a superphone, it should be. The huge screen alone is enough to catch the eye of any consumer looking to have a phone that isn’t quite a tablet computer.
The next smartphone release goes to the GT-I9210 and the specs on that one are a little more “normal” if that makes sense. The screen size is set at 4.5-inch touch screen at an 800×400 resolution. Other normal features include the 4G connection support, 8MP camera on the back and 2MP camera in the front, Bluetooth support, GPS and full HD video support. This phone weighs in at around 128 grams with the 1750 mAh battery.
As the release list goes on the phones become more standard in features and I am sure the price is also a reflection of that. The rest of the list is more entry-level and specs for those phones can be found online as well. No specific dates or prices were mentioned.

What country Samsung site are these on? The USA site appears to be silent on them. Links from Ethan would be really welcome. Thank you!!
