The Motorola Droid Razr HD was only made available off the shelves of Verizon last month and its addition to the Android lineup of Big Red was announced back in September. During the announcement, the handset was unveiled alongside the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD and Motorola Droid Razr M to complete the triumvirate of Motorola’s new Razr smartphones.
Since its release in the market, we haven’t heard much about the Motorola Droid Razr HD but it looks like an issue with the display of the handset has recently popped up. Apparently, the issue concerning the screen of the handset results in a severe discoloration of the Motorola Droid Razr HD’s display. The issue is so severe that a user of the handset will not be able to see anything on the handset’s display when it acts up.
However, there is a silver lining to all of this. Though the issue might sound very serious, at least, it doesn’t appear to be very widespread at the moment. Despite that, it goes without saying that users of the handset still need to keep an eye on this one. Though there are only a handful of complaints regarding this issue, users of the Motorola Droid Razr HD are still advised to get in touch with either Motorola or Verizon to check what the two companies have to say about the discoloration issue on the Motorola Droid Razr HD.
The good thing however is that the issue is easily fixed. All you need to do simply reboot the handset and this discoloration issue will get taken care of with the display of the Motorola Droid Razr HD going back to normal once it turns back on. And the simple reboot suggests that the issue is more of a software problem and not concerned in any way with the hardware or display of the handset so we might see a software update to have this fixed get rolled out in the near future.
Though it is very simple to fix, it would still be annoying for users of the Motorola Droid Razr HD to have to contend with this after handing over their hard-earned dinero just to bring this baby home. The point here is that there is no need to panic just yet but users of the Motorola Droid Razr HD are well advised to be on the lookout for this issue and report more instances of issue.
As for the Motorola Droid Razr HD, the handset is already running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its operating system and this is powered by a QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset which brings into play a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor and a full gigabyte of RAM. The storage space onboard the handset is pegged at 16GB but a user has the option of having this expanded using the microSD card slot of the Motorola Droid Razr HD. In terms of its display, the handset sports a 4.7-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a 1280 x 720 resolution while its dual-shooter configuration is composed of a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.3MP snapper.

My partner and I bought two of these last weekend from Verizon. No problems so far. I LOVE the phone. It’s had a very solid build, a beautiful screen, and the battery is amazing.
