The HTC Evo 4G Android smartphone arrived on the Sprint wireless network on June 2 of this year in the United States. At that time the handset had to run on the Sprint 3G network, as they still had not finished building the infrastructure which would deliver 4G LTE connectivity to the US. Just recently the Evo 4G LTE handset received a software upgrade to version 4.1 of the HTC Sense user interface (UI) and Android overlay.
