The current smartphone marketplace is an incredibly competitive arena, which is great for the consumer, and Sprint recently took a very aggressive stance towards competitors AT&T and Verizon in regards to be Samsung Galaxy Note II 4G big-screen smartphone. The handset with integrated handwriting recognition technology and smart stylus S Pen has been a flagship device for all three of those wireless carriers, and Sprint recently moved to protect market share on the Galaxy Note II, which scored the highest customer satisfaction ratings in a recent study.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99.
The Galaxy Note II scored 84 out of a possible 100 points, besting newer phones like the Apple iPhone 5 (82 point score), in the recent 2013 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) study of current best-selling smartphones. The only other handset to score as high a mark was also a Samsung product, the Galaxy S III smartphone. As mentioned above, Sprint has decided to aggressively undermine the retail price tag offered by AT&T and Verizon on the Galaxy Note II.
The Sprint handset is currently available for just $49 on contract at the Amazon Wireless store online, basically half the price of both Verizon and AT&T versions at the same retailer. You may recall that Sprint launched their first ever 4G LTE system in late 2012, and has been expanding across the United States. The wireless provider plans to complete nationwide access for their 4G LTE system by the end of 2013. The Galaxy Note II on Sprint allows you to interact with the powerful smartphone/tablet by touching, hovering just above the display, scribbling, writing and speaking.
The Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating system appears on the Galaxy Note 2 out-of-the-box, the first time that Android OS made it to a Samsung handset. Subsequent Android updates are available for the Galaxy Note II, which offers a longer and thicker S Pen smart stylus for a more realistic and pen-like feel. The phone also offers one of the largest high resolution screens ever developed for a mobile handset, and it debuted on the Sprint 4G LTE system in October of last year.
A specifications check shows a slim 0.37 inch (9.3 mm) profile, a large 5.55 inch Super AMOLED screen, True HD 720 by 1,280 pixel resolution and a 16 to 9 aspect ratio for that display. Considering how slim the handset is, a surprising and generous 15.0 hours of talk time is produced from a single battery charge. The phone is powered by an Exynos quad core central processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, 2.0 GB of RAM memory is on board, as is 16 GB of built-in closet space and a microSD slot for storage expansion.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $49.99.
