The Galaxy Note II is known as offering one of the largest displays ever created for a mobile handset. The True HD 4G smartphone running on the Sprint 4G LTE system recently received a retail price reduction, and has been spotted at select online retail outlets selling for the on contract price of $49. The Galaxy Note II for Sprint delivers a powerful quad core processor and popular split screen feature, also receiving Samsung Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) designation from the Korean smartphone manufacturer.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99.
Receiving the SAFE acronym means that the Galaxy Note II supports corporate e-mail/calendar/contact access, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Mobile Device Management (MDM) and on-device encryption (ODE). Backdoor IT access and security tools are also on board, while your personal information is partitioned and inaccessible to anyone but yourself. The popular S Pen smart stylus has returned from the original Galaxy Note, and this time it appears in a thicker and longer design.
This gives the S Pen a more realistic and pen-like feel and experience, and the Galaxy Note II supports interaction through use of the S Pen smart stylus, multitouch, capacitive gestures, hovering and speaking. The contextual awareness also allows for visual and audible alarms which let you know when the smart stylus has moved too far from the handset. The first phone to launch out-of-the-box with Android’s 4.1 Jelly Bean system from Samsung, the Galaxy Note II is slim at 0.37 inches (9.3 mm).
That slim form factor, however, is also home to a large 5.55 inch Super AMOLED display and extended life, oversized 3,100 mA battery. Talk time runs 15.0 hours on the Galaxy Note II for nearly double the industry average from a single charge, and the large True HD display is aligned in a 16 to 9 aspect ratio for HD video viewing. Resolution runs 720 by 1,280 pixels, with more than 16 million individual colors present on that screen. Through the Multi-Window feature, the display can be divided into two equally sized separate touchscreens.
The brain trust is a Samsung Exynos 4 (4412) system chip, with a powerful Exynos quad core ARM Cortex A9 central processor clocked at 1.6 GHz as its anchor. A quad core ARM Mali 400 MP4 graphics processor is also present, and the hardware profile includes 16 GB of built-in storage space, a generous 2.0 GB of RAM memory and a microSD slot providing storage expansion. Video capture runs 1,080P HD resolution with the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder, while a Stereo FM radio with RDS joins YouTube, Facebook, Picasa and Twitter applications on the Sprint Galaxy Note II smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy Note II can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $49.99.
