Today’s smartphones are so much more than just a device for placing and receiving telephone calls, and we often forget that this is the premier reason these mobile devices were created. As much as the powerful and popular Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone can do, a few Sprint customers were complaining that call quality was not the greatest on the large smartphone/tablet. A recent announcement by a Sprint administrator says that those issues have been put to bed.
You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note III at a reduced price tag stating at $249.
The announcement also stated that aside from call quality and speed of placement, other upgrades were delivered via a software update to North American Sprint Galaxy Note 3 customers. The handset runs on the Sprint 4G LTE system in the United States, and a limited smattering of customers said they suffered from “garbled voices, popping sounds” and overall less than desirable sound quality when placing and receiving phone calls, inside and outside of 4G networks.
The company said they have pushed out an OTA which has totally rectifed the problem, one that was not noticed by the majority of Sprint Galaxy Note 3 customers. A change log has been posted on the official Sprint website discussing the improvements, which also include a fix to the handwriting mode on the phone’s stock keyboard. If you own a Sprint Galaxy Note 3, simply keep an eye on your notifications, and follow the screen prompts for the software update only after fully charging your battery and accessing a dependable Wi-Fi zone.
Several firsts for a Galaxy Note smartphone have been achieved with the big-screen Galaxy Note 3. The handset is the first mobile device of any kind to deliver 3 GB of RAM memory, and it is the first Galaxy Note mobile phone with a Full HD display. And even though the screen size has grown from 5.55 inches to 5.7 inches, the overall body size of the handset has gotten smaller.
This makes the Galaxy Note 3 marginally smaller than the Galaxy Note II, while delivering a larger display, better display resolution at 1,080 x 1,920 pixels, as well as an upgrade to the rear camera. Built into the back of the handset is a 13.0 megapixel camcorder with an improved flash, a nice upgrade from the 8.0 megapixel shooter on the Galaxy Note II. The phone is also one of the few mobile devices to boast the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system, and measures a scant 0.33 inches (8.3 mm) in thickness. A full 25.0 hours of talk time is achievable from a single charge, more than double the industry average, and the quad core Snapdragon 800 CPU has been clocked at a blazing 2.3 GHz. You can purchase the Samsung Galaxy Note III at a reduced price tag stating at $249.
