According to a thread on XDA, the affected Samsung Galaxy S III handsets usually last from 150 days to about 200 and their mainboards will just suddenly die. Samsung is yet to issue a comment on this concern but one user of the handset said that a technician in an authorized repair center and another person in a Samsung warranty call center confirmed that they are seeing this issue a lot lately. With that in mind, the severity of the issue or how widespread it has become hasn’t been ascertained yet but once we have more details, we’ll be sure to let you know.

As for the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III 4G, the handset is powered by a QualComm MSM8960 SnapDragon chipset in its internals where a dual-core Krait processor with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz works in conjunction with a staggering 2GB of RAM to ensure that the performance of the handset is always speedy and lag-free. The handset was released in a 16GB and a 32GB model in terms of storage but a user also has the option to have this expanded using the microSD card slot of the Samsung Galaxy S III. As for its display, the handset comes with a 4.8-inch SuperAMOLED HD panel with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while its camera department features a rear 8MP shooter and a front 1.9MP snapper.
