In today’s smartphone world, niche devices are hard to come by because they rarely make a mark in the smartphone competition. Take the case of the Dell Streak 5 for example. The Dell hybrid did not get the warm reception it was expecting from the smartphone-buying population because of its identity crisis that got it confused if it was an oversized smartphone or an undersized tablet. Samsung aimed to change that perception of niche devices when it released the original Samsung Galaxy Note late last year.
The original Samsung phablet also got doubters who thought that the Samsung Galaxy Note will also end up just like the Dell Streak 5. After all, it was a massive device with a massive display and most of our smartphone-crazed brethren thought they are not ready yet for a device this big. The perception they have on the phablet got changed however when they realized the advantages of its massive display and the fact that the components it has under the hood is pretty impressive also gave the original Samsung Galaxy Note a lot of plus points.
After that, the rest was history as they say. The Samsung Galaxy Note went on to become one of the bestselling devices of the Korean electronics giant racking up 10 million of sales since its release. Because of the popularity of the phablet, Samsung decided to come up with a sequel to it and the Samsung Galaxy Note II was born.
Announced back in August, the Samsung Galaxy Note II no longer had to contend with doubters because its predecessor has already paved the way for its entrance. In fact, the second generation phablet is a whole lot bigger and a whole lot better compared to its predecessor. Due to its popularity, the Samsung Galaxy Note II will be released by all major carriers in US shores but word on the street is that the T-Mobile version of the phablet will cost more than the variants of the phablet that will be released by the likes of AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.
The information comes from a leaked image that recently surfaced which shows the alleged pricing info of the Magenta version of the Samsung Galaxy Note II. One of the pricing plans for the phablet is the Value Plan where a prospective buyer is expected to pay $299.99 as a down payment and then follw that up with 20 equal payments of $20 per month for a whopping $699.99.
The Classic Plan on the other hand is what we can use to compare the price point of the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II to its other variants. With this, the phablet will set you back by $369.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year service agreement with the Magenta carrier. At this price point, the T-Mobile version of the Samsung Galaxy Note II will be $70 more expensive compared to the versions of AT&T, Verizon and Sprint which are expected to ask for $299.99 for their respective versions.
No word yet though on when the T-Mobile version of the Samsung Galaxy Note II will hit the shelves but it could either be on the October 24 – 25 time frame or worse, in the middle of November. Again, these are all unconfirmed so you are advised to take this with a grain of salt but we will surely let you know once more details become available.

You folks are supposed to be versed in the mobile phone world. If so, how come you don’t know that T-mobile has always had lower plan rates and thus lower subsudies for phones. The only way to compare is the full price which will be the same for all carriers. So no story here then.

if this is true than GOODBYE T MOB, HALLO SPRINT!!! how is it that t mob always manages to shoot itself in the foot. i have a 4 line family plan and have been with t mob for 5 years and i had it. that mail in rebate is fake. i got 3 phones with the mail in fake bate. never got the 50$ debit card. so if this article is right the price of the note 2 on t mobile will be 320$. you know what? il just put 80$ more and pay the 200$ cancelation fee and get a SPRINT note 2 for 300$ with really unlimited internet. u hear that folks?! T MOBILE 4G IS NOT UNLIMITED. SPRINT IS TRULY UNLIMITED. after reaching your 2GB cap tbmob will throtel u down to 20kb which is half edge speed. if u wiki edge ul see that edge is 40kb. so they slow u down not to 2g, not to g, not even to edge speed, but to half edge speed. so instead of paying 120$ extra for t mobs note 2, il pay 200$ to cancel a line, and get truly unlimited internet from sprint.
