Sony has been doing very well in the high end smartphone market for about one year now and since the Xperia line has made its way to the United States, the sales numbers have been even better. The latest Xperia smartphone from Sony, called the Z1s, has finally made it to T-Mobile and only one week after the handset debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Xperia Z1s is not the first smartphone from Sony to make it to the United States, however, it is the first handset to make it here so quickly.
Typically, Sony launches a smartphone overseas and it might be a couple of months before anyone sees it here, but that is not the case with the Xperia Z1s. T-Mobile users will have the choice of the high end Xperia Z1s this week if they are looking to upgrade and judging by the spec sheet of the handset, the users that pick one up will be very happy! The Xperia Z1s features a 5-inch with a 1080p HD resolution and scratch resistant glass in order to protect it. Inside you will find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which is a quad-core model that clocks at 2.2Ghz and is one of the fastest on the market today.
Camera for the back side of the device is the 20.7MP model, which is more than enough to capture just about any type of image that you want with your new smartphone. The phone comes with 32GB of internal memory, plus a microSD card slot so that you can add more if you think you need it. Typically, 32GB has been more than enough storage for a normal smartphone user, but with a nice camera, more pictures are likely to be taken and they will take up space.
On the T-Mobile network you will be able to pick up the new Sony Xperia Z1s for no money down and then it will cost you just $22 per month on top of what you will pay for your data plan. This allows you to get a high end smartphone without having to fork over $200 for a subsidized smartphone. If you want to buy the Xperia Z1s outright, you will be paying about $528 for the unlocked model. The Xperia Z1s got plenty of attention at the CES this year and is expected to sell very well.
