The Windows Phone Tango update was much awaited by Windows fanboys because of the improvements it will bring to handsets in the Windows Phone platform and because it will be the last major update that these devices will get a taste of – after all, Windows Phone 8 will not be rolled out to existing WP devices. The Tango update however brought minor improvements to the smartphones in the Windows Phone ecosystem but the handset that stood to gain the most was the Nokia Lumia 900 4G.
The handset was announced by Nokia back in January and released it in US shores via AT&T last April. The Nokia Lumia 900 4G is the current flagship device of the Finnish manufacturer but is about to head for retirement with the imminent arrival of Windows Phone 8-packing devices in a month or so. Because of its flagship status, the Nokia Lumia 900 4G came with an impressive specs sheet and was eagerly awaited by the Windows Phone community. In fact, such is the popularity of the handset that it managed to snag the top and third spots in bestsellers list of an AT&T-authorized retailer on the day that it hit the shelves. What made it more interesting though is that the Nokia Lumia 900 4G was released on a Sunday that fell on Easter Sunday – which made the feat more unbelievable.

Due to the impressive specs sheet of the handset, the Nokia Lumia 900 4G got glowing reviews. However, no smartphone is perfect and the handset has had its share of pain points. The most commonly criticized aspect of the handset though is its camera department. Despite the fact that the Nokia Lumia 900 4G came with an 8MP shooter with Carl Zeiss optics, a lot of people were disappointed with the camera performance of the handset.
All this changed though with the arrival of the Windows Phone Tango update to the handset. The update came with firmware component that made changes to the setting and brought significant improvements to the shooter of the Lumia 900 4G LTE. With all these enhancements, the 8MP shooter of the handset is no longer found lacking and is now able to turn out stills with higher image quality than before.
As for the Nokia Lumia 900 4G, the handset has its circuitry built around its QualComm APQ8055 SnapDragon chipset. This SoC gives the Nokia Lumia 900 4G a 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor and 512 MB of RAM to ensure that the performance of the handset is always flawless and buttery-smooth. Storage-wise, the handset comes with 16GB of internal memory but sad to say, there is no option to have this expanded. Its display on the other hand is a ClearBlack Technology-powered 4.3-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and as mentioned earlier, the camera department of the Nokia Lumia 900 4G is composed of a rear-facing 8MP shooter and a front-facing 1.3MP snapper, both of which are capable of 720p and VGA video capture, respectively. The Nokia Lumia 900 has undergone a hefty price reduction, and is now available at a very affordable price. While manufacturer restrictions don’t allow us to advertise this lowered price, we can assure you its a solid rock bottom deal! Buy the Nokia Lumia 900 4G LTE at the reduced price!
