The first Windows Mango phone to offer LTE capability also comes equipped with the largest Nokia smartphone display ever built, and that handset was released exclusively to the AT&T 4G LTE network in April of this year. Already over the 1 million unit mark in sales, the Nokia Lumia 900 4G Windows Mango 7.5 handset might be experiencing greater demand than supply.

When it launched, the Nokia Lumia 900 experienced immediate supply problems, and many brick-and-mortar institutions ran out of stock in 24 to 48 hours. Several online retailers have reduced the price tag on the Nokia Lumia 900 to starting at $39 to new customers on contract, and they have not experienced a supply line problem. Nokia claims to have resolved the supply line issues, and the handset has become a flagship for the new AT&T LTE platform.
The 4.30 inch display found on the Lumia 900, which is Nokia’s largest for a smartphone renders visuals in 217 pixels per inch and more than 16 million different colors. That creates an overall display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and that screen is protected by a layer of scratch resistant Gorilla Glass. Average in dimensions but slightly heavier than the typical 4G handset, the Nokia Lumia 900 offers access to exclusive applications and software. An exclusive ESPN Sports hub can only be found on the Lumia 900 until May of 2013, and a special PGA Tour application is exclusive for one year as well, and launches in June. Special Groupon Coupon and AOL Entertainment applications are also present.
Talk time runs approximately 7.0 hours on the Nokia Lumia 900 after a single charge of the 1,830 mAh battery, and standby time runs 14.6 days. In the impressive hardware package on board, a 1.4 GHz Scorpion CPU is the centerpiece of a Qualcomm APQ8055 Snapdragon microchip package that also includes an Adreno 205 graphics chip, and 16 GB of user accessible, built-in data storage joins 512 MB of RAM memory. The camera combo on board includes a high-end Carl Zeiss optics package which provides such exclusives as a double wide mode allowing for capturing extra-wide scenes, and continuous autofocus while video recording.
The Carl Zeiss equipped camcorder is located on the back of the device, delivers a f2.2/28mm lens and is a high resolution 8.0 megapixel model. A front facing 1.3 megapixel chat cam is also on board, and the Nokia Lumia 900 4G Windows phone comes equipped with an FM Stereo radio. Offered in either Black or Cyan, the Lumia 900 allows for hands-free voice memo recording and voice dialing thanks to the active noise cancellation feature integrated into the dedicated microphone. I do not understand the hype. So the Lumia 900 has sold in a month what previous Symbian models from Nokia, or the latest iPhone, sell in a weekend.
