There have been many rumors about what Apple is going to do with the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5.  Are they going to release another version of the iPhone 4 called the iPhone 4S or are they going to just release the iPhone 5 and call it good?  Today, some experts are saying that Apple is going to do just that, release BOTH iPhones and maybe add a little credibility to the “iPhone Nano” rumors.  The iPhone Nano was going to be a smaller version of the iPhone, but reports are pointing towards the addition of the iPhone 4S, a revised iPhone 4, where the iPhone 5 will just be a brand new device.

Research in Motion is struggling to get consumers on base and Nokia is making all sorts of changes, so this would be the time Apple steps up and throws a couple phones at the mid-range smartphone user base.  Apple iPhone Nano would be perfect for someone that wants an Apple smartphone, but cannot afford an iPhone 5.  Apple would be able to get into more markets, thus getting more customers and putting the competition further behind them.

The iPhone 4S just might be the same thing and depending how it is “revised” it could end up on the pre-paid market.  Putting the iPhone on the pre-paid market would get the company customers from Virgin Mobile, Tracfone, Net10 and other pre-paid carriers.  Even though the price would still be over $300 and that would be for the unlocked version.  Over 1 billion people across the world prefer the pre-paid versions and a pre-paid iPhone would make the pre-paid market pretty interesting.

Let’s not forget about the iPhone 5 coming out around the same time.  Geared towards the business man on the go, the iPhone 5 is likely to have more power than the iPhone 4, among other features.  Budgets are getting cut all over the place and consumers are feeling the pinch, so the cheaper iPhone 4S would be a perfect solution and if you don’t want to worry about the two-year contract, is even a better deal.  The iPhone 5 is going to be priced around the $600-$700 mark and that is retail.  Depending on the carrier and the 2-year contract details, the price could get down to around $300.  For $50 more you can get the iPhone 4S and throw the contract out the window.  Apple is giving everyone a choice this summer.
