US Cellular is the fifth largest mobile carrier in the United States and it has an announcement for customers that might be of some interested if the entire family has a mobile device. US Cellular announced new shared data plans for customers and they are aimed to give families and businesses more than one device per account. All users will be sharing the data between however many devices are on the account. Many other mobile carriers use the same setup and Verizon Wireless even allows up to 10 devices using the same data each month.
US Cellular is planning to offer the same setup, for 10 devices on a personal account, while business users can get up to 25 devices on each account. AT&T, Verizon and Sprint already offer similar setups, so it is nice to see the smaller, major mobile carrier get caught up and offer the same thing. The company said that users can choose from plans that start with data listed at just 300MB per month. The customer can add unlimited talk, text to the plan, but the prices will differ for the amount of data and any fee for the phone, tablet or modem added to the account.
The list of data amounts and the cost include 300MB for $40, 1GB for $50, 2GB for $60, 3GB for $70, 6GB for $80, 8GB for $90 and a full 10GB per month for $100. US Cellular will also add tethering to your account, even for those that are only using the 300MB plan. Any and all smartphones added to the plan will include a $40 fee, while any feature phone added will only cost $30 more per month. If you need a wireless modem it will cost $10 while a tablet will bring a charge of $20 to your monthly cost.
US Cellular is comparable to other mobile carriers on the market in the United States with the same shared data plans starting at 4GB, a family with 2 smartphones will be paying $190 per month on US Cellular, AT&T and Verizon Wireless. US Cellular also offers plans without data if you do not need it and those start at just $50 and that includes 450 minutes of talk and unlimited texting all month. Additional phone lines from that point will cost an extra $20 per month.

More or less, all carriers are charging same rates for their share plans and of course it is beneficial to the consumers. Sometimes it looks one carrier is offering attractive share plans but when you do calculation for three devices, then charges are same……….amazing..
