The Galaxy Note 3 was just showcased at the IFA 2013 event in Berlin this week and T-Mobile and AT&T already have announced plans to release the device on the 1st and 2nd of October, respectively. That means that Sprint and US Cellular still have to make announcements as to when they plan to at least start taking pre-orders. US Cellular did say that it would start to take pre-orders in October, but did not get any more specific that than this time around. The price that the 5th largest mobile carrier will be selling the phablet at was also a mystery after last week.
The odds are very good that US Cellular is going to sell the device for the same price as everyone else, which seems to be around the $299 price point. There is no reason to believe that the device will cost more on the US Cellular network, but there is a chance that the company will offer it at a slight discount with hopes of taking some sales away from the other mobile carriers that are located within the same region that US Cellular operates.
US Cellular made the official announcement right after T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon Wireless hit the press with announcements, so there it is clear that there is no time to waste when it comes to the already popular Galaxy Note 3. With that being said, it could also be very easy to assume that the Note 3 will be on pre-order status right after the T-Mobile and AT&T models on the 1st and 2nd of next month, but that has not been confirmed at this time. Even though US Cellular is one of the smaller, regional mobile carriers on the market, the company still offers the high end devices like the Note 3 and will soon have the iPhone 5S ready for pre-order as well.
As of right now, it looks like the Galaxy Note 3 will be available in the black model only on US Cellular’s network, but that does not mean that the white, or pink models won’t be ready to ship later in the future. US Cellular has an expanding 4G LTE network with more than 60 percent of its subscribers covered right now and another 30 percent that will be covered by the end of this year.
