htconeverizonWhen the HTC One Android smartphone hit the mobile marketplace in the United States, it was well received to say the least. Alongside the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S4, the HTC One has been one of the top three smartphone bestsellers since it launched in late April of this year. With the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network the largest by far in the US, Verizon customers and smartphone shoppers looking to jump ship openly wondered when the powerful HTC One 4G would be headed to the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system.

The Verizon HTC One can be purchased at a reduced sale price starting at $149.99, which can save you up to $50 over carrier pricing.

The HTC One has finally hit Verizon, bringing with it one of the most powerful hardware and feature packages ever found on a mobile handset. The Verizon HTC One 4G runs on the Jelly Bean 4.2 operating system, through the popular Sense 5 user interface. The handset has been lauded as environmentally responsible, receiving platinum certification by UL Environment as environmentally friendly throughout its life cycle, creating the smallest possible environmental impact.

The infrared sensor on the handset has also been popular, as it allows you to control your television, home theater system or DVR remotely. The phone also boasts a rear facing camera with HTC’s brand-new UltraPixel technology that captures more light with fewer megapixels. That rear snapper records video in 1,080P HD resolution and also in stereo sound, and is capable of slow-mo video capture at 768 x 432 pixels. The phone is currently available for around $149 on contract at the Amazon Wireless store online.

In spite of its power packed hardware package and a large display, the HTC One handset is slim, measuring just 0.37 inches (9.3 mm). The Full HD display runs 4.70 inches, offering a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels at an industry leading 468 pixels per inch. The uper LCD3 screen contains light and proximity sensors which help conserve battery life by automating certain tasks, and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 offers scratch resistance.

Thanks to those battery conservation efforts, the sealed 2,300 mA battery on board the HTC One delivers enough juice to last for 16 hours of talk time and 8.5 hours of video playback on Verizon’s 4G LTE network. The system chip powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 APQ8064T model whose cornerstone is a quad core 1.7 GHz Krait processor. A full 2.0 GB of RAM system memory is on board, as is a generous 32 GB of built-in data storage space. The Beats Audio sound boost is present, as is a Stereo FM radio with RDS and dual front facing stereo speakers.

The Verizon HTC One can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $149.99.
