Smartphones are nothing if not portable devices. And now that our mobile handsets have gone from being simple phones to portable computers which can do a little of everything, it is extremely important that we get the most power out of every battery charge. You and I both know it is a pain to constantly be searching for somewhere to plug our phone in to recharge. Motorola Mobility engineers created the Droid Razr MAXX HD 4G smartphone in an attempt to solve that problem, and they were more than successful.
The Droid Razr MAXX HD is a 4G LTE capable smartphone that runs on Verizon, and it offers arguably the premium battery performance of any phone currently available. Aside from delivering “up to 32 hours of all-around performance” according to Verizon, the handset is also global ready, able to access networks in more than 205 countries around the world. The handset also offers one of the largest high resolution displays in the smartphone marketplace, and a speedy 1.5 GHz dual core processor.
The phone launched on October 18 of last year, and has an oversized, extended life 3,300 mA battery which can charge in less than four hours. On the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the US, you can expect up to 21.0 hours of conversation from a single battery charge, or use that power for up to 8.0 hours of voice guided GPS navigation with Google Maps. A fully charged Droid Razr MAXX HD is also capable of 10.0 hours of streaming video and an incredible 27.0 hours of streaming music.
The fully charged cell is also capable of delivering up to 8.0 hours of web surfing, 450 miles of GPS turn by turn directions and “4,283 taps, swipes and pinches on the touch screen” according to Verizon’s tests. The handset can hold a charge for 15.5 days, but the presence of that big battery does not mean a thick brick of the smartphone. The Droid Razr MAXX HD measures 5.19 x 2.67 x 0.37 inches (131.9 x 67.9 x 9.3 mm) in size, and it is designed with a waterproof nanocoating both inside and out.
The display is large at 4.7 inches, and delivers a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels. That True HD display offers a pixel density of 312 pixels per inch, and is protected by a scratch resistant layer of Gorilla Glass. Video capture on the device runs 1,080P HD resolution, via the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder. The Droid Razr MAXX HD also delivers 1.0 GB of LP DDR2 RAM memory, 32 GB of internal storage and a microSD slot. The Chrome for Android mobile web browser has been pre-installed, and the handset is NFC capable.
You can purchase the Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD at a discounted price tag now starting at $99.99.
