The Amazon holiday sale is in full effect, and one of the recipients of a lower sale price is the Motorola Droid Razr M 4G Android smartphone. The handset delivers the new Jelly Bean 4.1.1 operating system, a smaller and more compact, lightweight body than most phones with a 4.3 inch screen, and all day battery performance. The Droid Razr M is currently priced at $79 on contract at the Amazon Wireless store, and launched on that network on September 10 of this year in your choice of either black or white.
The Motorola Droid Razr M is available for a significantly reduced price tag now starting at $0.01.
The Chrome for Android web browser and NFC (Near Field Communications) wireless support have been pre-installed, and the handset is light, thin and compact at 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.33 inches (122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm), and 4.44 ounces (126 g). Motorola engineers stretched the display from corner to corner and edge to edge, delivering 40% more screen in less body space than comparably sized phones. The Droid Razr M 4G is solid proof you do not need a large, bulky handset to deliver a big screen and 4G LTE connectivity.
Built into the back of the handset is an 8.0 megapixel camcorder with 1,080 P HD resolution video capture, and built into the front of the Droid Razr M 4G is a VGA quality chat cam. YouTube and Picasa applications have been pre-installed, and the handset delivers a full 20.0 hours of talk time from a single battery charge. That chip package includes a dual core 1.5 GHz Krait central processor and graphics specific Adreno GPU, and 1.0 GB of RAM memory joins 8.0 GB of built-in data storage in the hardware package.
The Droid Razr M also offers a microSD slot for storage expansion, and the 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED screen delivers an overall display resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. Pixel density runs 256 pixels per inch, and a protective layer of scratch resistant Gorilla Glass overlays the screen. The handset is splashproof both inside and out, and DLNA video out connectivity is offered. Standard capacitive, multitouch gestures are used to navigate the handset, with light and proximity sensors offering auto brightness adjustment and battery conservation features.
Google purchased Motorola Mobility earlier this year, and Google makes itself known on the Droid Razr M 4G with Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, Google Talk and Picasa integration. The new Google Maps with Navigation allows you to speak or type in your destination, and then gives you turn by turn directions and voice support. The built-in music player offers Bluetooth stereo access, and the handset can function as a mobile hotspot for multiple wireless devices.
You can purchase the Motorola Droid Razr M for a reduced price now starting at $0.01.
