The Motorola Droid Razr M 4G Android smartphone runs on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the US. The handset is also globally capable on both 3G and GSM networks, and was recently spotted with a retail sale price of around $49 on contract at the Amazon Wireless store online. Motorola tasked their smartphone designers with creating a compact, slim and light handset while also providing 4G speed and connectivity, a large high-resolution screen, and all day battery power. Verizon has added a couple of features such as a free Backup Assistant service for your contacts, and advanced voicemail features.
The Droid Razr M is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $49.99.
The Verizon Visual Voice Mail gives you access to forward, reply and delete your voicemail messages without having to cycle through prior messages or voice instructions. You can also prioritize which messages you want to listen to and in what order, and save up to 40 messages for 40 days. You have an alternative to archive your voicemail messages permanently, and you can create up to 10 totally separate caller ID-based voice greetings. Finally, the application allows you to respond to a voicemail through text messaging, by sending a voicemail or calling back.
Just like previous Droid Razr models, the handset is rugged, with an aluminum and Kevlar body. Corning has added a layer of scratch resistant Gorilla Glass to the display, and if you like to use your handset poolside, the Verizon Droid Razr M 4G Android smartphone is protected by a water repellent nanocoating, which even insures the safety of the interior electrical boards. The upgraded Jelly Bean 4.1 Android operating system is present out-of-the-box, and the handset is offered in your choice of either black or white.
The Chrome for Android web browser has been pre-installed, and NFC support is also offered. Smaller, more compact and thinner than other 4G smartphones with a 4.30 inch screen, the Droid Razr M handset measures 4.82 x 2.40 x 0.33 inches (122.5 x 60.9 x 8.3 mm) and weighs 4.44 ounces (126 g). That compact size was made possible by creating a nearly nonexistent bezel on the front of the handset around the display, which is a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED model.
Display resolution runs 540 x 960 pixels, with more than 16 million colors used to render visual displays. A full 20.0 hours of talk time can be squeezed from a single battery charge, and the Droid Razr M 4G is powered by a dual core 1.5 GHz CPU. 8.0 GB of storage have been built-in, a microSD slot is present for storage expansion, and 1.0 GB of RAM memory is offered. Video capture runs 1,080P HD resolution via the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder.
You can purchase the Droid Razr M for a discounted price tag now starting at $49.99.
