droidrazrmaxxhdThe Motorola Droid Razr MAXX HD runs on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE system in the US. The phone arrived on that network on October 18 of 2012, and allows you to call and text from more than 205 countries around the world. This makes it a hit with international travelers, as does the remote hard drive wipe, PIN locking system and government grade data encryption security features. The slim handset measures 0.37 inches (9.3 mm) in thickness, and it is currently available in either white or black.

The Droid Razr Maxx HD now starting at $99.99.

The large, high-resolution display contains light and proximity sensors which help preserve battery power, and this assists the 3,300 mA battery on board the handset in delivering what is possibly the best battery performance of any 4G smartphone. That extended life cell provides up to 8.0 hours of web surfing at 4G LTE speeds, as well as an alternate 8.0 hours of voice guided GPS navigation. Verizon has also stated that the handset can deliver 450 miles of GPS turn by turn directions, as well as “4,283 taps, swipes and pinches on the touch screen” from a full battery charge.

Most smartphone owners use their handset to watch videos and listen to music as well as surf the web, and a single battery charge of the Droid Razr MAXX HD delivers a full 10.0 hours of streaming video or 13.0 hours of video playback. Single charge talk time runs a generous 21.0 hours, and that battery can also deliver an incredible 27.0 hours of streaming music over Verizon’s LTE network. Battery power lasts approximately 15.5 days in standby mode, and that oversized battery can charge in as little as four hours.

Those features combine with the large 4.70 inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 system chip to make for a well-rounded smartphone. The Droid Razr MAXX HD Super AMOLED screen delivers a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels, offered at a rate of 312 pixels per inch. That screen uses more than 16 million separate colors to render visuals, supports the standard multitouch, capacitive gestures for device navigation, and provides video out options in the form of microHDMI and DLNA connections.

The Droid Razr MAXX HD hardware package includes a microSD slot, Adreno 225 GPU, 1.0 GB of LP DDR2 RAM and 32 GB of built-in virtual storage space. The CPU powering the handset is a dual core Krait chip clocked at 1.5 GHz, and the Chrome for Android mobile web browser provides instant Internet access out-of-the-box. The closet shutterbug can use the front facing 1.3 megapixel chat cam for video calls, and the rear facing 8.0 megapixel camcorder captures your video memories in 1,080P HD resolution.
