Amazon must be in the holiday spirit, because the Motorola Droid Ultra 4G running on Verizon was recently spotted at the Amazon Wireless store online priced at around $19 on contract. That sale price kicks off the company’s Cyber Monday Deals Week holiday celebration, while the slender and big-screened Motorola Droid Ultra 4G delivers some new features from Motorola, and a special battery boosting processing and computing package.
The Motorola DROID ULTRA is available for a reduced sale price now starting at $0.01 – $599.99.
First off, Motorola has beefed up the camera from previous 8.0 megapixel models, with the Motorola Droid Ultra sporting a 10.0 megapixel lens on its main, rear facing camera. If you want to snap a quick pic, simply shake the phone twice and tap anywhere on the screen to take a self-portrait or snapshot. This Quick Capture feature joins Clear Pixel technology with improved light absorption and noise and blur reduction, with the main camera recording video in a 16 to 9 aspect ratio and in Full HD 1,080P resolution, as well as in stereo sound.
The phone also offers a front facing chat cam of 2.0 megapixels, and Motorola has included with it is calling the Droid Zap feature for instant data, snapshot, image and information sharing. Zap allows you to send any desired content immediately to the virtual cloud, and anyone nearby with a compatible Android phone running Jelly Bean or higher can download that media. You can even limit access to only those Android users who you provide with a special personal identification number security code.
The Motorola Droid Ultra also delivers the Touchless Control feature which pairs Google Now with a natural language processor, providing hands-free verbal command access, even waking up your handset from standby mode with a simple “Okay Google Now” command. Active Notification is a battery saving feature which only lights up the portion of your screen needed for notification, and this intelligent technology will never waste battery-sapping display notifications when the Motorola Droid Ultra is lying face down, or is in your pocket or purse.
Super-slim at just 7.18 mm (0.28 inches), the handset is also lighter than most 5 inchers, weighing in at just 4.83 ounces (137 g). A rugged DuPont Kevlar fiber back plate joins a display protecting layer of Gorilla Glass to make for a durable handset, with the 5.0 inch AMOLED screen offering a True HD resolution of 720 by 1,280 pixels. A generous 28.0 hours of talk time can be achieved from a full battery charge, as well as two weeks of standby power. 16 GB of built-in storage accompanies a free allotment of Google Drive cloud storage on the Droid Ultra 4G, which also delivers 2.0 GB of RAM memory and a 1.7 GHz central processor.
The Motorola DROID ULTRA can be purchased at a discounted price tag now starting at $0.01 – $599.99.
