By the time the Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G Android handset has hit the United States and the 4G Verizon LTE wireless broadband network, it will already have been released in the UK. The UK launch date is November 17, and if the recent launches by Verizon and other wireless carriers are any indication, that UK release will be followed within two weeks by a launch here in the US. While no official release date confirmed or denied by Verizon, a launch on or before Black Friday would make sense for the obvious reasons. Several rumors persist on the internet that November 21 is a viable date as well.
Whenever the Verizon Galaxy Nexus 4G Android handset arrives, expecting a retail price in the $300 range due to the specifications we have seen sounds about right. And to that end, a screen shot was leaked online showing a $289 retail price at Costco. The Galaxy Nexus handset may be waiting for the arrival of the Android 4.0 operating system Ice Cream Sandwich. It is rumored to be the first handset to deliver that much awaited OS. One thing is certain is the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon will deliver the largest display in smartphone technology at 4.65 inches.
That Super AMOLED display will support 16 million colors, and offers 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is a capacitive touch screen supporting multitouch gesture navigation, and standard light and proximity sensors are also built into the screen. Physically, the handset arrives in typical smartphone fashion these days, as a black, rectangular slab. The Galaxy Nexus Verizon handset measures 5.33 x 2.67 x 0.35 inches (135.5 x 67.94 x 8.94 mm) and weighs 4.76 ounces (135 g). A 1750 mAh battery is on board.
The processor on board is a dual core 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 central processing chip, the TI OMAP 4460 model. 32 GB of onboard storage are built-in, as well as 1.0 GB of RAM memory. Dual 5.0 and 1.3 megapixel cameras are also on board. The Verizon Galaxy Nexus S shoots video in 1080P HD at 30 frames per second with that rear facing camcorder.

Do not try to buy the Galaxy Nexus.
That’s impossible.
Instead, only try to realize the truth.
There is no Galaxy Nexus.
